La Casa en Mango Street
The La Casa en Mango Street oral presentation was made up of a reading about a family that was experiencing a pipe leak at their old house and the land lord had told them to move out. The family then moved to a house on mango street that was very small and only had one bathroom. Although the house was small the family enjoyed the close relationships and loved the house. We then were expected to make our own versions of La Casa en Mango Street with experiences that we have had, and we recorded ourselves reading our chapters in English and Spanish.

Project Description
This project was made up of two different parts that were available for us to create. For my project I made a recipe that is very common in Cuba. This particular recipe was around when Che was involved in the country. The recipe had to be in Spanish and translated to the usted command form. For the exhibition piece of my project I made the recipe and brought it in. I then had to explain it in Spanish and talk about Che and his lifetime.
Project Reflection
I feel that this project challenged me in many different ways and the Usted command form started to become very easy for me to understand. I now have more confidence with my Spanish speaking, particularly in speaking out loud in front of the exhibition. At this point I feel that my Spanish speaking skills are ready to move to the next level, Spanish 3.
Un Cuento de tu niñez
Reflection
Un Cuento de niñez project was a process of creating a story that told the reader about a past experience that I have had. In my story I told about my past experience in Hawaii when I got stuck underneath a surfboard. The story had to be a minimum of 100 words and had to use the information about using the past tense (preterite) we had gained over the course of the project.

Un dia en Missouri. Carlos no esta feliz. Él quiere mudar a Colorado. Esquiar en las montañas en durango. Decide empacar sus maletas y irse a Colorado. El va a Durango. Cuando llega se va a su nueva casa. lo único que quiere hacer es esquiar. Pero. Le gusta durango mucho. que al las montañas y río esto fresco. Se tienen no amigos Que realmente le gusta el río y rafting. este es el lugar perfecto para el. está tan salido. el día no podías ser mejor.
Project Description
Throughout this project the focal point introduced the fiction story that I created. The process started by making a rough draft consisting of 15 sentences that completed a short story using reflexive verbs. After perfecting the short story, we then moved on to creating a visual presentation of the story. In my project I created a presentation outlining my story. This presentation included pictures and the text of the story. In order to receive full credit for the project we were required to present in front of the class.
Project Reflection
I felt this project was very helpful for me. My overall understanding of new words and correct pronunciation reached a new level. Although, at the beginning of the project I faced many challenges, I was able to overcome them with the help of Susan and her expertise in the Spanish language. Reading this story out loud helped me greatly, I was able to get critiqued and my pronunciation of words improved.
Spanish Exhibition
The El Museo de Cerca project consisted of finding a person of interest that is famous in the Spanish Community, or a famous Spaniard. After you were set on a person, we researched important things about that specific person. For example, in my case I researched Rafael Nadal. After discovering many different important things about the childhood of Rafa and the adult years of Rafa, we then put this information into a slideshow presentation with pictures and questions about Rafa. We then created a biography on the person and presented it to Susy with the questions being asked towards Rafael Nadal (ME).I did not attend the exhibition, but I did do a make up exhibition in front of Susy and presented the biography and my presentation, along with the 7 questions.
